Seeing the Goodness of God in the Land of the Living – RESET Day 8

adobe-spark-post-2“Always believe the best for the future. If you view the future through regret, the past, disappointments or hurt, then you will lose sight of God’s goodness…..” from City Point Word for 2018

Always is a strong word.  Always means always. All the time.  Anytime.  Everyday.  Every moment.  Every hour.  In good times.  In bad times.  ALWAYS!

It is easy to believe the best when we are on the mountain top.  The view is so clear from there.  The future looks so bright and promising.  We can see forever.  And it is great!

But what about in the valley, when the fog rolls in.  You can barely see your hand in front of your face.  You may not even know which way is up.  What are you believing then?

Oh friend – God is trustworthy.  We can trust that He does have good for us.  I love what the Psalmist wrote in Psalm 27:13:

“I would have lost heart, UNLESS I had BELIEVED that I would see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”

What you are believing makes all the difference!  Where you focus, you become fixated.  If we focus on our problems, that is all we will see.  The problems become HUGE and our God becomes small.  But if we focus on the goodness of God, our God becomes HUGE and our problems become small.

God has a GLORIOUS future prepared for you.  He has doorways already open before you.  The seeds of your future have already been sown.  His goodness is surrounding you and overtaking you.  The blessings of God are real!  He has great plans for you!

Tomorrow we are going to talk more about His goodness.

Always believe, friend…..ALWAYS!

Prayer for Today:  Lord, I thank you that You are trustworthy.  You are who You say you are.  I can believe Your word.  I can believe in Your character.  You never change.  You are still good. Always!  I fix my eyes on You.  I love You and thank You for your goodness to me.  Open my eyes to see Your goodness in my life today.  In Jesus name, Amen!

Monday night, 9pm.  I was praying on the phone with a friend.  We took a minute to just wait on the Lord.  Was there anything He wanted to say to us.   I think it is a good habit to see if He has anything to say.  Often I've just rushed...
