He Makes Me Want to Shout!

WOW GOD!

Do you ever just sit back and say, “WOW GOD!!! YOU ARE AMAZING!!!”

Sunday after our worship time I was blown away by the goodness of God.  He is up to something very special at City Point.  Each week He comes and ministers to His people.  He is revealing more and more of Himself as we seek Him.  The more we seek God, the more we find God!

In our One Thing Prayer Times each morning we have seen His glory!  Every day has built off the previous day.  God is writing an amazing story of praise!  Monday we prayed for revelation of Him.  Tuesday God showed up pouring out His love over us.   Wednesday God spoke HOPE over us  – to believe beyond ourselves.  Thursday He led us to worship, magnify and glorify Him.  One glimpse of His glory and we are forever changed.

As Pastor Randy Payne instructed us last Sunday in his message Faith or Fear, we are silencing that inner “drunk monkey” that speaks fear and lies to us.  We are saying “Not today devil” to the enemy of our soul.  And we are stepping out in faith of what God has promised. “For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

This is our Heritage as Sons & Daughters of the King!  We are heirs with Christ.  We have salvation.  We have the promise of eternal life with Jesus!  We have HOPE in Christ!  We have freedom!  Oh, I feel like shouting – God is So Good!

Think on these amazing words from Psalm 149 today.
Praise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise in the assembly of saints.
Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
Let them praise His name with the dance;
Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
He will beautify the humble with salvation.
Let the saints be joyful in glory;
Let them sing aloud on their beds.
Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a two-edged sword in their hand,
To execute vengeance on the nations, and punishments on the peoples;
To bind their kings with chains and their nobles with fetters of iron;
To execute on them the written judgment-
This honor have all His saints.
PRAISE THE LORD!

18 years ago we were gripped with that question.  How hungry were we for God?In January, 2005, I set aside the first 7 days to fast and pray.  During that time, I had a thought for a local pastor.  I went to him the next week.  "Pastor Ken, I believe Portage Christian...

Monday night, 9pm.  I was praying on the phone with a friend.  We took a minute to just wait on the Lord.  Was there anything He wanted to say to us.   I think it is a good habit to see if He has anything to say.  Often I've just rushed...
